You work hard all year supporting your school.  Now they have the opportunity to support you and your professional development.

PNAIS will host a two-day conference this June for administrative and executive assistants in independent schools.

Who should attend:

•    Assistant to the Development Office, Business Office, or Division Offices
•    School Registrar

•    Office Manager

The program will include:

•    Policy updates

The conference planning committee is hard at work developing a tremendous program for this June.  Based on the feedback from our last conference, we are building in more time to connect with colleagues in structured sessions around sharing your experience and best practices around a variety of topics.   Attendees will connect with colleagues from across the region, learn about topics and trends that impact your work, and build lasting relationships with others who share a similar role.

Introducing Keynote Speaker: Jan M. McLaughlin, CSP
A former teacher, retail executive and actress in television commercials, Jan founded the image consulting firm, J’Ambry.  At the urging of clients, she expanded her focus and in 1992 founded Your Communication Connection. Today she is considered an expert in communication—visual, written, and spoken. Jan has earned the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation—the speaking profession’s international measure of speaking experience and skill.  Fewer than 10 percent of the 5,200 members of the International Federation for Professional Speakers hold this professional designation.

Don't Just Talk, Communicate! —Understanding communication styles to be more effective at building and maintaining positive relationships with Jan McLaughlin
Have you noticed that people often see things differently than you do? Each of us communicates in our own way—our style. There is no right or wrong. Our philosopher for this adventure is Popeye who always said, "I 'yam what I 'yam!".  We can’t change other people, we can only change ourselves.  But, by altering our actions and reactions we CAN influence the response we get from others.  People will be more likely to hear you; you'll be more likely to get the results you want.  Click here to read the full session description.
