Location: University Child Development School, Seattle, WA

Sustainable Fundraising:
Leveraging Resources to Raise More Money and Advance Your School’s Mission
Who Should Attend?
This workshop will be appropriate for heads of school and development directors.
Workshop Description
What core competencies should guide every school's development efforts, regardless of mission, size, or resources? In today's workshop, you'll first be introduced to best practices in seven areas of sustainable fundraising:
- Organizational Planning
- Fundraising Culture and Environment
- Board and Volunteers
- Development Activities, Outcomes, and Evaluation
- Marketing and Donor Communications
- Donor Management and Stewardship
- Development Infrastructure, Technology, and Systems
You'll then have the opportunity to self-assess and score your current program in each area, using The Collins Group's School Advancement Self-Assessment Tool. Finally, you'll build or hone specific skills in three breakout sessions: Effective Development Planning, (Really) Engaging Your Board in Major Gifts Fundraising, and Making the Most of Your Special Events. You'll leave with clear priorities for your program, benchmarks for monitoring progress and measuring success, and a peer network to help you advance your mission.
Agenda
The workshop will begin at 9am and conclude at 3pm
Facilitators
James Plourde, Barb Maduell, and Kate Roosevelt of the Collins Group will facilitate the day. Learn more about the workshop facilitators here.
