Clock Hours/Continuing Education

Clock Hours and Washington STARS Credits

PNAIS offers Washington State Clock Hours and STARS Credits for specific events.

Washington State Clock Hours

Washington State Continuing Education Clock Hours are a means of ensuring that Washington State certified teachers and administrators stay current in their fields. PNAIS is an official in-service administrator of clock hours for Washington State.

Clock hours are offered for PNAIS-sponsored programs that are at least three hours in length. The specific number of clock hours available depends on the length of the program. Clock hour forms are distributed on-site at the program. The cost is $10 per event.

Clock Hours and Co-Sponsored Events

Washington State member schools can obtain clock hours for their in-service programs. Schools requesting this option must complete and submit an application form to PNAIS prior to the event. Contact PNAIS for more information.

Washington STARS Credits

The purpose of Washington STARS (State Training and Registry System) is to ensure quality care for all children through increased opportunities for basic and on-going training for childcare and early education and school age providers.

STARS Credits will be available for Washington state approved teachers and administrators at certain PNAIS programs. Check the specific event to determine if STARS Credits are available. The cost is $10 per event.

Want more information? Contact PNAIS at 206.323.6137 for details on clock hours and STARS credits.
